My Battle

I’m in the battle of my life.

My fight is from within.

But God is in now my coach

and with Him I know I’ll win.

My opponent is addiction

to drugs and alcohol,

and if I don’t stay strong,

and he wins, I’ll lose it all.

His manager is Satan,

who’s a cunning evil cheat.

But with God in my corner,

the devil smells defeat.

I have him now against the ropes

and feel God’s strength within.

My family’s on the front row cheering,

“Knock him out…and WIN!
